My dad and I are traveling on our way to hike in the wind River range. On our route I wanted to find a coffee shop that was locally owned and not just a chain. I came across coal Creek coffee and thought it sounded great based on the website and reviews. Boy, were they not wrong. First of all, the town is beautiful and has so many murals and the shop itself is located in the downtown area so parking is a breeze. From the second we walked in I instantly felt a warmth and the greeting we got from our cashier was exactly what you look for on an early day. We visited around 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday. They also happen to be playing one of my favorite bands and the cashiers wearing a shirt from that band, which absolutely made my day so much and I felt like it was serendipity! I ordered a cold brew and my dad ordered a hot trip coffee. Both of us were astounded at how absolutely delicious they were. Not only that but they had a variety of baked goods and some of those were vegan! We got a vegan brownie to split later tonight when we're camping. I honestly have nothing but great things to say, the bathrooms were super clean, the space itself was cozy but also airy and big. It definitely makes me consider moving out here because everyone seems so awesome!

Excellent cappuccino!! I travel and order an oat milk cappuccino in many places, and the one here was perfect. I was able to order a single shot of espresso and the barista sized the cappuccino perfectly and served in cup and saucer to drink there. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable too. I’ve been missing this experience elsewhere. Bravo Laramie and coal Creek!

The coffee here was the best I've had in a while. So worth it!!! Yum! Bagel was decent. The atmosphere is pleasant, people were talking as well as doing computer work. Staff was nice, really lovely stop!

Lovely place!! I loved everything about Coal Creek! The decor, the nice selection of teas (I don't drink coffee) and the fact that they'll refill water from your teapot, bakery items (didn't try larger meals), the ambiance... and, there's PLENTY of power outlets. I was just passing through Laramie, but it would definitely become my regular coffee shop if I were living here.

Our visit to this coffee shop did not disappoint. It was peaceful and serene, as people worked and sipped their coffee. They paid no mind to us tourists snapping photos and admiring the Vintage decor. My Americano was smooth and delicious. This was worth the trip.

My wife and I just stopped in here to grab a coffee and a snack on our way thru town and had a spiritual experience eating their pretzel with queso. We have traveled the world, eating snacks, and never before have we had such a visceral reaction to a twisted bread covered in butter and cheese. We ate. We enjoyed. We went back to get two more.

Dear Coal Creek, I was feeling nostalgic, and had to look you up... So many hours spent sitting at your tables studying, meeting with friends, and curling up on your couch with a book. It's hard to find a coffee shop with Coal Creek's cozy vibes. So many coffee shops feel cold and corporate, like you're drinking coffee in an airport. Coal Creek is a warm hug, paired with a latte. Miss you, boo.
